It’s been a while since I last saw a Legend of the Condor Heroes cosplay. Although this time, it’s not from the tv series or from the anime. Pion’s cosplay is of Mei Chaofeng from Legend of the Condor Heroes Massively Multiplayer Online Game.
The same as the television series, The Legend of the Condor Heroes MMO is based on Louis Cha’s novel of the same name. The novel focuses on heroes with legendary martial arts skills. This novel has been translated into many languages including English, French, Catalan, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Thai, Burmese, Malay, and Indonesian. As a result, the novel has garnered fans all over the world and has had several films, tv series, and now even a video game adaptation made. Although the game is still in Chinese, cosplays like the one Pion has done helps draws attention to it and with more audiences interested, the game developers might just allow the game to be translated into other languages and welcome players from overseas.
