Vintage Wizard Cosplay

Diablo Wizard is a Vintage Wizard. How was I able to say that? The Wizard and Sorceress class in Diablo are one of the first class in not only Diablo but the whole RPG genre itself. And as we all know, the Diablo franchise is one of the most popular RPG game in the gaming industry because of it’s wide area and extremely good plot. Along with the other games like Ragnarok, Elder Scrolls and Final Fantasy they started the hype for the RPG genre in the gaming industry.

16593246288_f8d90e90c2_o_600_897_sGoing back to our topic, the character to be discussed today is the class which appeared in Diablo III, the Wizard. But do not mistake, like I said earlier, the Wizard class is as the same as the Sorceress class from the previous Diablo games (Diablo I and II). Renegade spellcasters, wizards are known for a number of qualities: not only rebelliousness and flair, but also disdain for the endless lessons and prattling about caution and safety that echo from academic schools of magic. Wizards’ superior attitudes seem to stem from their natural talent – their ability to wrestle the ambient force of magic into submission and direct it to their ends by will and instinct. Any accidents that might occur due to their lack of finesse are unfortunate…but that rarely stops wizards from indulging in their unstable magic power. So sum it all up, Wizards are like the rebels in Hogwarts, just kidding. I may have offended some Harry Potter fans lol.

The girl today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.

The outfit is made out of the color combination of red, gold and silver. For some reason these colors really is a good combination for a cosplay to make it look high end or something. Anyway, Yaya Han spent a week together making the costumes. It seems like Yaya Han was able to get a friend to help her in making this costume and that is Svetlana. Svetlana build most of the armor pieces while Yaya Han sewed the costume. After finishing separately, they put it up together at Katsucon. I can say that her friend, Svetlana, really put her efforts into making the costume as can be seen on the details on the breastplate, the gauntlet and the nails of the costume. While Yaya Han, like her specialty, was able to make a very elegant materials for the robe and pants.

Yaya Han is an exceptional cosplayer with a great talent for both modelling and tailoring her costumes let’s at least support her by following her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube Channel and DeviantArt. Let’s also give thanks to her photographer MineralBlu for the wonderful shots.
