Most people and especially newbie cosplayers, think that the costume wow factor relies solely on the likes of shiny led lights, armor or mecha suits, and fancy hair are what make up most of the cosplay. They also believe that these are the kind of cosplays they have to go for to get noticed. That’s not true!
This Shimamura Uzuki (THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls) cosplayer who names herself “TUNA” wears cosplays that are mostly cloth-based and not much full body armors or towering weapons. There is one other thing that she has that is always almost forgotten if not overlooked, and that is CONFIDENCE.
Yes, confidence. Regardless if you are wearing a complex costume or a simple one, if you don’t feel confident about how you look, it’s going to show. If you feel ify about the cosplay you wear, then people are going to look at you and feel ify about it too. So again, it doesn’t matter if you’re wearing cloth or extravagant armor, if you want to get noticed, it all comes down to you and how you carry yourself.
