Every hero has a story, not that I’m some kind of hero. But there comes a point when to survive, the hunted must become the Huntress. This Huntress is rolling in the deeeeep. Since the trailer for the new movie, Batman Bad blood was shown recently and there’s something about Batgirl in the movie where she uses guns which is a very big No no for Batman, I thought of talking about her and looked up for a cosplay of her for today.
The Huntress is a vigilante operating out of Gotham City, and a member of the Batman Family. She is also a devout Catholic, and is very in touch with her Italian heritage. Her career is inspired by a personal vendetta against organized crime, responsible for killing her entire family. At first, her ruthless methods and willingness to kill made her an outcast from the heroic community, but in time she learned to temper her methods and became accepted by her peers.
Our cosplayer for today is WindoftheStars. WindoftheStars or real name, Mel has been cosplaying for almost 10 years already and has build herself a position, image and respect in the cosplay industry. She have created over 80 elaborate costumes, for herself and (surprisingly) for others which originates from movies, video games, comics, anime, manga and from her very own creative mind. Many of her costumes have received prestigious awards and have been featured in print and online publications around the world, and like what I said earlier, she earned her position in the cosplay industry thus she’s been constantly invited as a Guest of Honor, Judge, Booth Model and Panelist at conventions. Her current hobby lead her to become a professional tailor, seamstress at the top tier alterations shop in Northern Nevada.
Well atleast now we know she won’t go villainy just because Batman keeps on nagging her about her method of “disabling” villains which is literally disabling since she either cripples them or kill them. Going back for our cosplayer today, I’ll admit that I haven’t really heard of Huntress before, only recently when the Batman Bad Blood teaser was shown and I’ve looked up and did my research about bat girl and learned that Huntress was a former bat girl and also a member of the Batman family. But anyway, her costume really much resembles Batman though, it’s dark, shadowy, looks like a costume of a vigilante and the mask gives it all. But nevertheless the Windofthestars is just beautiful even with this mask, you can really see that she’s very beautiful with out without the mask. I love how the cape is made out of thin fur which matches the purple color of it. It makes her look very rich and royal.
