She’s not what you think she is. Have you seen all the Xmen movies? Everybody is flaunting about the Xmen Days of Future Past and the soon to be released Xmen Apocalypse but let’s not forget a key movie which started both of it and a really interesting one where it shows the story of why there is an Xmen and the misunderstanding of the two mutant parties. The Xmen First Class is one of the most iconic movie of the series and also one of my favorite (since I got to admit, I also like Xmen days of Future Past because of it’s ending) in Xmen First Class there’s this mutant named Emma Frost and just to make it clear, she’s not like Elsa who can control Ice.
Emma Frost is the former White Queen of the Hellfire Club, Emma Frost is a powerful mutant telepath who can transform herself into organic diamond. She has become an eminent member among the X-Men. A gifted teacher, Emma is renowned for her beauty, wit, and revealing attire. Besides that, she can also counter Professor Xavier’s telepathic powers.
Our cosplayer for today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.
The outfit is gorgeous, something which can be worn on Hollywood events and the upperclass gatherings and parties. The corset is made out of Faux Leather, coutil lining and steel boning. the Pants was also made the same. For the cape, chiffon with coque and ostrich feathers was custom made by our very pretty Yaya Han. Gloves were obviously made of spandex BUT was made from scratch by Yaya Han. The collar was made of Faux leather and repurposed necklace pieces. And for my personal favorite part of the cosplay, the diamonds on her face was made of 3 latex prosthetic pieces with Swarovski crystals.
Yaya Han is an exceptional cosplayer with a great talent for both modelling and tailoring her costumes let’s at least support her by following her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube Channel and DeviantArt. Let’s also support her photographer Brian Boling photography.
