Here’s a cosplay that I think deserves your attention. It’s Olivie’s cosplay of the sassy assassin, Elsa Granhiert, from the 2016 spring anime, “Re:Zero -Starting Life In Another World-“. Elsa is known for brutally killing her targets by slicing open their abdomen.
A charming face with a smile that hides intent – obviously Olivie’s pulled that one off real easily. Cosplaying isn’t just dressing up like the characters. There are times when there is a need to “get into character” just like actors do to be able to pull off the facial expressions which are appropriate. It takes a lot of time in front of the mirror and it takes a lot of courage to be able to confidently perform it in public. Kudos, Olivie!
If you’re not familiar with the show and if you’re a gamer/otaku I’m pretty sure you’ll appreciate Re:Zero -Starting Life In Another World- as much as No Game No Life. Yes, a geek getting transported into a fantasy world is not entirely a new premise. We’ve heard it before and of course, upon reading the synopsis the word “cliché” automatically comes to mind. However, even with the overused premise, the show was able to produce a completely redeeming new story line so it’s definitely worth checking out.
