Let’s go green.Since there are some rumors that Xmen will be ending entirely in the comics, I thought that I should post some article about X-men for you guys to be reminded that X MEN SHOULD NOT END.. It’s common in the comics of having a superhero or supervillain having the same exact powers and Polaris is one of them. Polaris is one of the mutants who also has the power to manipulate magnetism very much like Magneto but why green?
But a basic introduction is a must, Polaris can control magnetism, much like Magneto, whom she long suspected to be her biological father, a fact confirmed in Uncanny X-Men #431. Well that what the heck? Does that mean Magneto has 2 duaghters and a son? And here I thought that only Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Damn you magneto, I didn’t know that you were also a chick magnet. She has also had a complicated long term relationship with the X-Man Havok, to whom she was engaged.
Our cosplayer for today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.
It’s incredible for a cosplayer to wear something she made entirely. By this I meant every part was made by the cosplayer herself and not purchasing any parts from stores. Althought it was very simple, it looks astonishing. The basics of the suit is a 4-way stretch metallic spandex and wonderflex headpiece, gauntlets and anklets (you may see that this three parts were made from the same material). This cosplay really just rocks in vibrant lights as you can see on the photos. I specially love the one where the settings is like in a club, the green vibrance really was emphasized there. The shade of green for the wig was also gorgeous, basically it’s a shade of darker green with a little bit of blue green shade with it which is plus!
