What’s more scarier than Wolverine’s 6 Adamantium Claw? If you’re a fan of Wolverine and have watched all films involving him I’m sure you’ve encountered another a she-wolverine who’s also been injected by adamantium steel and can grow claws. The only difference is, she has 10 of it and is seductively deadly (which is really a big factor for fighting men). Well I wish I had Adamantium applied on my sword. This she-wolverine I’m talking about is named Lady Deathstrike.
In the film, she is Colonel William Stryker’s brainwashed mutant assistant. She was also involved in the same government program as Wolverine called weapon x giving her adamantium claws that extend from the tip of her fingernails, instead of from her knuckles, giving her five claws on each hand rather than Wolverine’s three.
The girl today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.
The outfit isn’t made by simple leather pants and suede top. A Victorian accent was applied on the outfit as what can be seen on the striped sleeves and the standing collar. The stripes design that was applied on the sleeves are made out of thin leather. This also can be seen on the collar. The claws are made out of cardboard that was put together and clipped on each of her fingers. She also painted her nails monochrome so it will look like it’s part of her claws but do note that Lady Deathstrike doesn’t grow her finger nails but her finger’s skeleton. Everything else is good, she’s Asian and I’ve always imagined Lady Deathstrike as Asian like in the comics even though in the movies, she’s a western babe.
Yaya Han is an exceptional cosplayer with a great talent for both modelling and tailoring her costumes let’s at least support her by following her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube Channel and DeviantArt. Let’s also support her photographer Kamui Cosplay
