Twinkle Twinkle Little Star How I wonder where the freakin hell is Sheryl Nome?! For setting where it takes place in space, Sheryl Nome is one hell of an idol. I mean, being an idol, and a popular one itself in Japan sure is freakin hard already. Being celebrity known by the world is already impossible but being a POP IDOL known by the whole galaxy?! That’s a freakin miracle which Sheryl Nome did with a style. Known as the “Galactic Fairy”, she is a pop idol with blond&pink hair from Macross Galaxy fleet who had constantly topped music charts leading people to say that it was impossible not to hear her songs if you lived in this galaxy. As such, her popularity was soaring just as high in the Galaxy’s sister fleet, Macross Frontier.
Our cosplayer for today is WindoftheStars. WindoftheStars or real name, Mel has been cosplaying for almost 10 years already and has build herself a position, image and respect in the cosplay industry. She have created over 80 elaborate costumes, for herself and (surprisingly) for others which originates from movies, video games, comics, anime, manga and from her very own creative mind. Many of her costumes have received prestigious awards and have been featured in print and online publications around the world, and like what I said earlier, she earned her position in the cosplay industry thus she’s been constantly invited as a Guest of Honor, Judge, Booth Model and Panelist at conventions. Her current hobby lead her to become a professional tailor, seamstress at the top tier alterations shop in Northern Nevada.
It’s like a girl made out of glitters, lightness, pureness and all other goodness. Windofthestars didn’t disappoint, I think she was able to capture this very Sheryl Nome like vibe in real life. Having this innocent and pure look but with very astonishing and gorgeous beauty is one hell of a combi. First of all, I want to take note of the hair! I love how the blonde hair with pink end highlights really combines well, I might suggest this to some girls since it really looks good even in real life, cus’ you know some colors don’t really look good in real life. And I also want to take note off the settings of the photoshoot which really looks like a photoshoot of an idol, a luxurious look focusing on lightbulb or lightbars for the background is like taking a photoshoot for an album cover or even a photobook.
Bringing characters to life one stitch at a time. That has been WindoftheStar’s own slogan in life which lead her to where she is now, known to the cosplay world and tailoring industry. Let’s keep supporting and encouraging her in each and every cosplay she makes to further motivate her in creating and more elaborate cosplay by following her on Facebook, Twitter, DeviantArt and Tumblr. If you’re more than satisfied on the cosplay she made let’s also support her by purchasing her merchandises in her Website. Let’s also support her Photographer Ice_Man.
