Merida is one of a kind; not many have hair as naturally red as she, and therefore many cosplayers don wigs to portray her. What I like about this cosplay is that, although Rcsi1 is clearly wearing a wig, the wig is a more subdued color that’s more often found in natural redheads… and that looks more realistic. The slight deviance from Merida’s signature look is a nice touch, as well, with Rcsi1 wearing a dress that is straight blue. While Merida does wear a blue dress in the film (for the formal contest of suitors for her hand), she is more often seen (and cosplayed) in her dark teal dress. The blue helps her stand out from the plant-filled background here.
