AsiaPOP Comicon Manila was held on August 25-27, 2017 and it was a lot bigger than last year!
It is understandable that there will be a cosplay contest on AsiaPOP Comicon and there are a lots of amazing and creative cosplayers this year. One of the panelist/jury is Alodia Gosiengfiao, the famous Filipino cosplayer/vlogger/artist/gamer and she is very famous in the Philippines and all over Asia!
There were a lot of activities and cosplayers in AsiaPOP Comicon and this time, it was held in SMX Convention Center, which is a very huge place where artists from all around the globe held their concerts at. To give you a slight idea on how big this location is compared to last year, SMX Convention Center is located within the backyard of just the 4th biggest mall in the Philippines and the 11th in the world — SM Mall of Asia (SM MOA)! How wide is the area? Just about 406,962 square meters and accommodates around 200,000 people DAILY.
Besides taking a picture of and with your favorite cosplayers, artists and actors, there were also art exhibits of the local artists, mini concert (Serena Kozuki), hobbies exhibitors, play Magic the Gathering cards, get 20% on books at Fully Booked booth and a lot more! All of the reviews of the people who went there are positive and they really appreciate that there’s a lot of things they were able to do and participate in because of the location and the activities that were prepared. All in all, it was an awesome experience and we cannot wait for next year’s AsiaPOP Comicon!
