Once upon a time in an alter universe, in the year 1944, the world is threatened by alien-like creatures called Neuroi who are undeniably more powerful than the world’s finest military weapons but are, for some reason, vulnerable to attacks by a group of flying girls who, strangely enough, don’t wear pants…did I mention they’re underage?
That may have sounded like it’s telling you shouldn’t watch the series, but you definitely should give it a chance. Apart from all that fanservice, its storyline is full of optimism and although it’s about war, it doesn’t have a storyline that’s too dark. Also, the aerial battle scene animations are something to look forward to. Not to mention the art on the military equipment and their gears were definitely a redeeming factor to this show.
Despite most reviews advising to stay away from the anime, it sure didn’t stop Chami Madoka from doing so. Here’s her cosplay of one of the characters from Strike Witches named Perrine H. Clostermann.
