When people think about what they consider to be the most defining components of a cosplay, their minds probably wouldn’t go automatically to pose. But this cosplay of Melisandre from Game of Thrones shows exactly how influential pose can be, with cosplayer Kennigma’s body in quarter profile but her head facing fully forward, creating an intriguing look. I also really like the mix of red and black strands in her hair, as well as the stone building and woodsy background. Also, Kennigma made Melisandre’s necklace herself. And I really, really, really want that dress.
I am very excited to release photos from my Melisandre cosplay!
I did not get nearly as many photos as I would have liked, as we had several obstacles to work around. After over an hour drive to the castle-like location we found that the lighting was very harsh and that there was a lot of graffiti to avoid.
