I don’t always think of burlesque as being exactly a fandom thing, unless it involves time travel or zaftig girls who perform it at science fiction cons. I make an exception for Kickaz because she always has the cool costumes of every sort. I really enjoy her versatility and I think it is fun to occasionally be able to see more of what she looks like under the skeleton and kitty cat bodypainting.
I figure some people will also be pleased to see that she is skilled at body paint and makeup because she is creative and not because she is unfortunate-looking and attempting to hide that. So she is a good-looking, artistic, molecular biologist type who sometimes does free cam shows. It is a little Buckaroo Banzai, but what’s not to like.
