Game of Thrones – The North Remembers

OMG you guys! Are you excited? ARE YOU!? Holy shit, Game of Thrones is finally back!!! I’m drunk on fantasy sci-fi! And box wine!

I for one am ready for the bad ass dwarves (Peter Dinklage is hot, right? I mean, right?), epic battles and BEWBS. Oh the bewbs. And Jaime Lanister isn’t bad to look at either. Even tho he’s a total dick. Man, what an asshole.

I don’t know how ya’ll who haven’t read the books are keeping up, but shit is about to get real. The source material is so rich, with so many plots and characters all happening at once, I’m astonished that the show writers are able to keep the main points flowing and not have the viewer feel overwhelmed with the magnitude of it all.

In short, bitch, there is a lot going on. A little disappointing that the bewbs were at a minimum for this episode, but I feel like they’ll make up for that in subsequent episodes. What REALLY gave me a hard on was the sets! My god the sets! I’ve long read, nay dreamed, of some of these places and I am totally fulfilled with how they have come to life. Giant dragon friezes! Holy crap a huge map table! I looooove props. Love em.

New characters are introduced and the show definitely has the feeling that a new chapter is about to happen in our saga. I’m particularly taken with one ginger headed pro/anti-tagonist that is going to be a bit of a game changer. Just wait for it. I’m going to have to watch this episode again to make sure I got everything. I’m sure I didn’t. Or I’ll just freeze on the bewbs.

Predictions! They decide Democracy is a good idea and put it to a vote.

Tyrion arrives to save Joffrey’s crown from threats old and new; Daenerys searches for allies and water in the Red Waste; Jon Snow and the Nights Watch face the wilderness beyond the Wall.
