Kaylee Pond just made a really interesting point about fandom culture where she said that sometimes she really likes being totally immersed in the details and really debating every little point with other people, but she worries that sometimes this makes it possible to forget to enjoy the thing. Sometimes you engage more in the show or movie or comic if you get to talk about and you get to really think about it, including all the details of who wrote the episode etc. Perhaps moderation is key. Kaylee Pond says she makes a conscious decision with some sorts of media to kind of let go and be open to just enjoying it.
