Bazowie Magazine Submission Guidelines

Bazowie! Magazine Feature Interview Layout Guidelines

  • Our format is safe for work, non-nude, pinup style photos, featuring either cosplay or other fandom themes. Sexy (not too see-through) is a plus.
  • We like to have either 5 to 6 different cosplay looks (2 or 3 photos of each look) or 10 to 16 images in a series with varied poses in a consistent look (same shoot) More is better.
  • We prefer mostly vertically oriented photos (ideally ≥ 3375 pixels tall or more; ≥ means Greater Than or Equal To)
  • The occasional horizontal photo in a series can sometimes be worked with (ideally ≥ 3375 pixels tall and/or 5175 pixels wide; ≥ means Greater Than or Equal To; we can sometimes work with slightly smaller images, but this larger size is best)
  • We can sometimes work around watermarks, but it’s really better without them. We will credit the photographer. Please provide any photographer credits that are appropriate.
  • Please only submit photos you have rights to use.
  • We can’t promise a magazine cover, but it’s a lot more likely if we have options that fit our layout format. So, when considering poses to include, please take a look at the examples we tend to use on Bazowie Magazine: Front facing, three-quarter, arms not too wide (hand on hip is ok), expressive with good eye contact with the camera.
  • When shooting images, it really helps if they are not cropped in too tightly. Having a little room to fit images on a magazine page (different dimensions than a standard photo), or run some interview text makes the layout much nicer.
  • If you stream on MFC, Bazowie Magazine can highlight you on an additional (SFW) page focused on your username there.
  • Photographers are also welcome to send over a portfolio via the contact form or, if we are already working together or corresponding, via email for consideration for assignments. Please mention where you are located and any specific models you would like to shoot if applicable.
  • SexyFandom and Bazowie Magazine Event Feature Layout Guidelines

  • We run photos from fandom events — science fiction conventions, comic cons, cosplay contests, etc.
  • It is a huge plus if you are able to also write something about your event experience.
  • We prefer mostly vertically oriented photos.
  • The event should either be specifically oriented towards cosplay, fandom, gaming, etc.
  • If you are thinking of shooting an event, we welcome pitches via the contact form or, if we are already working together or corresponding, via email but please do not tell people you are from SexyFandom or Bazowie, unless this has been approved beforehand.
  • We also welcome pitches for events you have already photographed, either immediately after the event or, for annual events, when the event is about to happen again.
  • Photographers are also welcome to send over a portfolio via the contact form or, if we are already working together or corresponding, via email for consideration for assignments. Please mention where you are located and any specific events you would like to shoot if applicable.
