Reading a book is a spiritual experience. The idea of our minds taking us into a new world, driving us to the fantasy and letting us fully swim in it until we lose track not only of time, but of ourselves is nothing short of a realized dream.
The immersion is uncanny, coveted and an absolute pleasure, which is why I appreciate this HENTAiED scene so much, as it presents the magic qualities of reading with their characteristic flair that adds a touch of the sinful and the delicious.
Lottie Magne experiences that same immersion, except that, through the mysterious book she reads, she doesn’t just imagine stuff, she gets transported to the worlds depicted by the book and gets to live the carnal thrills it depicts by fully walking through the window of imagination into the reality of it all.
This is what makes this scene so good, because it brings about the idea that those fantasy worlds are actually a real thing, making me wonder if one could also be transported in such a way through a visual medium like this short film where our protagonist gets to live an extra-terrestrial romance full of hardcore and loving details that mingle in an exquisite cocktail.
Imagine the possibilities of such immersion!
Set in the ages of the mid-20th century, Lottie Magne, a lonesome girl is here to tell us a story. She has certainly had an alien inside her, but this time it’s different. Whether it’s scary or pleasurable is on you to decide. Her story starts with a book, nothing unusual for an elegant, fragile scholar like her. That one book inside the library, the one that’s been hidden away, far from sight, that’s the one she picked.
