The thing about Japan’s Great Three Monsters is that they typically come in many variations and likenesses, part of which are as cute as can be while also exerting this really stern energy about them. While there are various theories about Shuten-Douji’s origin, Sara_Skys is giving a lot of her own into it.
While there’s many different varieties of the character over the years, there is a theme that remains – which are the two red horns protruding from her head and the nice purple hair that drapes down her body, with a little gem in the middle to certify her status as perhaps having a bit of the Great God Ibuki of Mount IbukiWP or maybe Sakata Kintoki’s kindling?
