Never thought evil bears would be this cute. Have you played or even watched the title Danganronpa? It’s very shonen like game with killing and getting away with it. I love the art itself of the game and anime and how they portray this evil and manipulative bear. Today we will be talking about a pink hair character (I have fetish for pink haired girls) in Danganronpa but before that let me introduce our cosplayer.
Our cosplayer for today is WindoftheStars. WindoftheStars or real name, Mel has been cosplaying for over 10 years already and has build herself a position, image and respect in the cosplay industry. She has created over 80 elaborate costumes, for herself and (surprisingly) for others which originates from movies, video games, comics, anime, manga and from her very own creative mind. Many of her costumes have received prestigious awards and have been featured in print and online publications around the world, and like what I said earlier, she earned her position in the cosplay industry thus she’s been constantly invited as a Guest of Honor, Judge, Booth Model and Panelist at conventions. Her current hobby lead her to become a professional tailor, seamstress at the top tier alterations shop in Northern Nevada.
So WindoftheStars cosplayed Junko Enoshima, the pink haired girl I told you about. She is a character featured in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. She is the younger twin sister of Mukuro Ikusaba. unko is around 19 year old young woman (believed to be 17 year old due to the memory loss). Junko has a tall, hourglass figure. She has blue eyes and long, thick, strawberry blonde hair tied in two pigtails. She has been shown to wear a variety of hair accessories over the series, but her signature accessories are a pair of hairclips seemingly patterned after Monokuma.
Shit, I really think this cosplay can’t just cosplay Junko it has the potential of cosplaying the girl from Lollipop Chainsaw or even Harlequinn in Arkham City and still look dashing doing it. Unlike other cosplayers when they try to cosplay a pink haired girl, they always go overboard and do literally bright pink wig which doesn’t looks right anymore. In cosplaying you should have the knowledge of blending reality and imagination in a right way and that’s how Windofthestars did it by getting the right shade of pink and matching it with her skin tone. I also love how the school outfit fit her, specially the details of it and the tie representing Monokuma, the sadistic bear.
Bringing characters to life one stitch at a time. That has been WindoftheStar’s own slogan in life which lead her to where she is now, known to the cosplay world and tailoring industry. Let’s keep supporting and encouraging her in each and every cosplay she makes to further motivate her in creating and more elaborate cosplay by following her on Facebook, Twitter, DeviantArt and Tumblr. If you’re more than satisfied on the cosplay she made let’s also support her by purchasing her merchandises in her Website.. Let’s also support her Photographer, Visions of Zen for the very refined Photos.
