Let’s make some ganking! For League of Legends players, you may know the champion named Fiora the Grand Duelist. Well Basically, Fiora is a Fighter type champion and has a good use for ganking or assassinating enemy champions. From the title itself, Fiora’s sword fighting style is based on fencing, and her character concept is inspired by an unspecified historical French fencer, possibly Julie D’Aubigny. In french, sword fencing duels are commonly done in the specific time period.
But who is Fiora? What is the lore about her? Fiora is as renowned for her indomitable will and haughty pride as she is for her skill with the blade. She was born to Demacia’s House Laurent, a once-proud family whose reputation was tarnished by the actions of her father. In an unprecedented move, Fiora challenged him to single combat and, upon winning, took control of House Laurent. Defying the Demacian establishment, she has set about restoring the reputation and pride of her family name, one duel at a time.
Our cosplayer for today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.
I love this kind of cosplay, if it ain’t cute I like to be COOL. The armor is made out of Worbla while the sword is made out of wood. According to Yaya Han, it took her around 4 weeks to learn this kind of technique since this cosplay is very new to her specially on handling the materials that was used for this cosplay. But it paid off in the end because of actual look of the armor and specially the painting process of it. For the body suit underneath the armor, Yaya Han wore a suit made of moleskin and the cape was made of Polyester Shantung. LOL fans don’t be mad, because I remembered the Warcraft Movie to be shown in the future because of this cosplay lol (pun intended)
