It’s been more than a year since we’ve all watched The Promised Neverland and it has a lot of potential. Even after adrenaline-powered ending, everything seemed to quiet down. We were expecting another season but there seems to be no news about it. Although it could just end with that ending, there’s a lot more to the story and there’s a big world that the kids had escaped to. Maybe they have jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire?
The second season was announced to be released on October 2020 but because of the pandemic, we might not be able to get a glimpse of it until 2021. And that’s good news! We even waited for other anime series for more than 4 years to get the second season, so I’m pretty sure few months to a year so a little sacrifice wouldn’t hurt. What’s important is that there will be another season.
Another big news about The Promised Neverland is that Amazon is working on the live action version in English. It will be directed and produced by Rodney Rothman. Masi Oka, Miri Yoon and Roy Lee will also be the executive producers of the show.
Keiko Kitagawa will play the role of “Mama”, Naomi Watanabe as “Krone”, Minami Hamabe as “Emma”, Jyo Kairi as “Ray” and Rihito Itagaki as “Norman”.
All we gotta do is just sit back, relax, stay safe and wait for the promise of 2021 for this show.
