At first glance, I thought this cosplay was of a character from Hyperdimension Neptunia. It turns out, this is of Kiana Kaslana from the game Honkai Gakuen. Honestly, I am not so much into this game but I do appreciate the art and the varied characters and their written backstories which is probably part of what has endeared the characters to both gamers and cosplayers alike.
Going back to this photo set, I’ve always been amazed at convention taken cosplay photos and it turning out into something studio quality. You can see in the back that the photographer has strategically set up a studio light tripod and together with the main building’s lighting plus the right camera lenses and settings, the result is this amazing capture.
