Fans of Sherlock Holmes will very much appreciate this Irene Adler cosplay by SwedenMikku, no matter whether they were exposed to Sherlock through the original short stories, the new movies with Robert Downey Jr., or the popular television show starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Though clearly inspired by the movies, this cosplay captures Adler’s feisty go-getter attitude so well that it’s pretty much ubiquitously applicable. Sure, she may be a pickpocket in the movies and have a more legitimate career as an opera singer in the original books, setting up for some contrast, but her capability is the dominant trait in almost all portrayals. SwedenMikku features great modeling here with an expression that is so Adler that fans of the movie might fear for their change purses. They sure don’t last long with Irene Adler around.

I went over my wardrobe and found some clothes that I think worked quite well for this cosplay, so this was a just improvised cosplay!
