YouTuber Daye La Soul (I love that name so much) decided to put together a cute and newbie friendly makeup look and give us all a tutorial on how to put it all together for a sexy and sassy Halloween look. I think this is a refreshing change from a lot of the more advanced makeup tutorials because it gives people a great look that is accessible and allows more people to learn and experiment with this art form.
She has already done her foundation and brows when the video started, and started to apply some white grease paint that she picked up at Party City under her eyes and along her nose as a form of highlight to bring those areas to prominence like a reverse contour. She then takes a Nyx jumbo eye pencil in Milk and shapes out the bunny nose as well as the whisker area above the lip with it. The eye pencil also goes on her lids as a base, and she blends it in with her fingers before getting out her Sephora setting powder and setting all that in.
Next, a Fenty contour stick is used to contour her nose and cheeks to further shape them to the bunny look, which she then blends in with a brush. She now busts out her The Crayon Case Box Of Crayon palette and dips into the pink color to color the bunny nose and her eyelids. She adds a little purple to her lids too for a gradient that really pops quite beautifully and makes her eyes stand out. She then goes a quick change into the rest of her costume, and takes the Nyx jumbo eye pencil to brighten her waterline and make her eyes look bigger, before using an NYC black liner to line her lashline under her eye. A little more pink and purple under her eye to finish things off.
Jumping down to her lips, she uses some Ka’oir lipstick in a black shade to color in her top lip, and then uses the NYC liner pencil to add follicle holes for the whiskers. She uses a Fenty eyeliner pen to line her eyes, then uses to to add the whiskers as well as she draws them up from the follicle holes she drew earlier. She adds her Maybelline Big Shot mascara to her lashes, and paints her bottom lip with a lip gloss from The Lipbar in the color Trophy Wife. Some Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray holds it all in place and this look is complete as well as being super cute and stunning!
Hey Boos 👻
Here is a beginner friendly makeup idea for a cute and sassy Halloween idea by a newbie to makeup! I used makeup and a dress that I had at home, and spent $20 at Party City for the white make up, jewels, cuffs and tail. And I got the ears off Amazon!

⇢ HAIR COLOR:
This a custom color job, created by a stylist at a salon, using a professional system not available in beauty supply stores and which requires a valid cosmetology license to purchase–no I do not know the name. It cannot be recreated precisely and the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot and it changes shades every time I wash my hair.
Bleach was not used. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you’d like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.
