Even a virtual character can have concerts. You’ll know your life is miserable af when a 2D character can have big concerts in many areas while you are just sitting here browsing sexy photos and reading this article. There’s Miku (Vocaloid) who’s very famous on almost everything worldwide but we have another rising 2D character that will slap the world miserable at your face and that is Super Sonico.
Super Sonico is a fictional female character created by Tsuji Santa for the Japanese computer and video game software company Nitroplus, first appearing as a mascot for a Nitroplus-sponsored music festival in 2006. Nitroplus has since developed the character into a media franchise that includes music products, manga series, computer and video games, toy figurines and other merchandise. An anime television series by White Fox based on the character aired in Japan. To basically sum it up, she started as video game character where she was a model in that video game only then got very famous and now sings her own songs and do concerts all over japan and some parts of the world. To slap it all more, she also sells her own merchandises like Super Sonico pillows, figurines, plushies and is been printed in many sports car.
Our cosplayer today is Yaya Han. Yaya Han is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.
Throughout the Super Sonico’s outfits there’s this common costume that is not only worn by hers but also by other characters which is the Nurse outfit. Yaya Han made the costume herself. The dress is boned and fully lined for any tailored uniform looks. The white trim is all hand made with an upholstery vinyl. She also used the same material to make the belt from scratch. The only thing that wasn’t personally made by Yaya Han was the wig which was sponsored by Purple Plum and the contacts by Pinky Paradise. I love the outfit for it’s simplicity and because of boobs (can’t argue with that) everything else was cute which is the very essence of the Japanese people making everything Kawaii~ which is great since Yaya Han was able to bring the Kawaii or cuteness with the outfit and photos.
