Fine, I’m guilty! I wear false eyelashes!. This just keeps getting weirder and weirder, how the hell would a horse wear fake eyelashes?! Well, anything can happen in cartoon tho. And guys, just so you know, I picked this cosplay mostly because of the cosplayer and how she converted it into a human figure. Since My Little Pony cosplays are hard to do because… they’re ponies? Well our pony for today is Rarity.
Gosh, this character is one popular af. I googled about this and search some cosplay groups and ask about it and damn, tons of information that I can hardly ponder. I mean, they have alot more information than the Avengers Cinematic Universe Wikia as hell. Well anyway after all the reading I did, basically, Rarity is a female unicorn pony and one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. She is Sweetie Belle’s older sister and the love interest of Spike. Rarity works as both a fashion designer and as a seamstress at her own shop in Ponyville, the Carousel Boutique. She has a white Persian cat named Opalescence. She represents the element of generosity.
Our cosplayer for today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.
Basing on this cosplay, Yaya Han is not really a 100% cosplay what you love type of girl since I can see here and on her previous cosplays, she only cosplay characters that would really fit her or else she would do anything to make it fit her. I said this because when I think of Yaya Han and the color that would match her, it’ll be violet, I’m not really sure why, it’s not because of her personality thouhg. I just thought of violet because of her physical appearance and specially when she cosplayed Psylocke and really looked good on her. And of all ponys available? she picked rarity. And what’s rarity’s color? Violet. The costume is not that detailed but matches Yaya Han’s appearance. It was made from a fully lined and boned halter dress and used a purple stretch velvet to make the trim and inserts. The three diamond shapes were rhinestone plate earrings taken apart and attached to the front of the dress. Yaya Han officially wore this cosplay for the Comikaze Expo back in 2011.
