Since 1996 Tokyo Game Show has gathered otakus from all over Japan and from outside of Japan to its yearly grand expo. This year, with more or less 254,311 attendees, Tokyo Game Show is without a doubt Japan’s largest annual gaming convention.
Major game publishers and console companies like Square Enix, Nintendo, Bandai Namco, Sony, and Sega invest yearly in their booths and exhibits for the expo. With the same enthusiasm and dedication, hundreds of cosplayers and thousands of fans and photographers flock to the event as well. Aside from the hired cosplayers inside each booth, cosplayer convention goers can also be found gathered just outside the venue. Here’s a glimpse of some of the cosplays from Tokyo Game Show.
