Let’s back off with the DC vs Marvel comics for a while. There are some great publishers out there, one for example is the Sirius Entertainment and Image Comics for their comics, “Dawn”. Well, it’s an old comic which lasted until 2005 but it is still known to some hardcore otakus/comic lovers and well that’ll be our topic for today.
Dawn is the goddess of birth and rebirth. While her appearance depends on who is viewing her, she is generally depicted as a young, red-haired woman with three “tears” running from her left eye (and two running from her right eye, on the few occasions that it has been shown); during the witch hunt, witches were discovered to only cry from their left eyes. She also has a rose on one wrist and a chain on the other.
Our cosplayer for today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.
The costume was based around the theme for pure and white with no shenanigans like armors or weapons. The corset is a steel boned with white faux leather with a custom bust line inspired by Linsner (The artist of the comic). There are two parts which I really love in this cosplay and that would be the wings with the defined arch, spread position and the long trailing feathers and the EYES I love the drooping effects of the eyes which is made out of puffy paint that made the paint look like tears. This cosplay was worn in the Dragoncon, Mottocon and Anime USA.
This cosplayer is without a doubt have a great talent for both modelling and tailoring her costumes let’s at least support her by following her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube Channel and DeviantArt. Let’s also support her photographer Brian Boling photography.
