A woman’s first time is pretty special (or so I was told in grade 7 health class) and BlueBlood is proud to present Dorothy’s first time. That’s right Clix with took Happy Alarm out to the middle of a desert and, well, the pictures speak for themselves. This her first full cake shoot. Wait? Wha? What first time did you think I was referring to? Pervs. All of you! Cake.
Dorothy is fun. Hands down. The end. I was first introduced to her work via a giant bowl of cereal and I was amazed by her food work. It is a real treat to see her first cake shoot that Clix captured. In this shoot we go to the desert with some dessert. It looks like a fantastically fun shoot to be part of with all of the food and Dorothy trying more than just cake on for size. I really love the energy here and the creativity. Dorothy’s work with food makes Christophe Feyt look like Noah McVicker. If this is a sample of the energy and level of fun Happy Alarm’s Kickstarter book is going to bring, then count me in for a pre-order.
The shoot starts out with her fully nude. Yeap. It was rather difficult to find anything that was safe for work. In fact, out of the two full pages of this cake spread, the only thing safe for work was the paragraph Amelia G wrote to introduce the photos. You know when I bend/break my ‘Jim abhors SFW boxes’ rule things get rather freaky rather quickly.
There are so many cool shots here it is hard to pick my favorite one. Here are a few highlights: Can you bend your back like this? (Any Milla J fans? Okay, fine…) The answer for Dorothy is ‘yes, and I can do it whilst pouring candied sauce on myself, too!’. Oh, and the ‘lose the dress, keep the shoes’ (DLR anyone?) shot where she is flexing up near a cake she destroyed wearing nothing but a smile and some shoes. Out of all of the poses, I will have to say the whipped cream butt is series is probably what draws me most to this shoot (second only to the mass cake destruction caught mid-motion by Clix).
No matter what pictures you loved (and there were many for me), we can all agree on one thing–dessert will never be the same again.
This is a flashback set of Dorothy shot by Clix. This is the very first time he photographed her with cake. He says, “She is the single most bouncy energetic lady with the most adorable voice I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and the absolute incredible beauty that is her physical form simply must be seen to be believed.
