Anime Festival Asia or AFA also now known as C3AFA is a series of anime conventions in South East Asia that started in 2008 in Singapore. This event and the preceding ones were noted to have the largest attendance number of convention goers outside of Japan. Years later, after partnership with Japan’s C3 events organisers, AFA has expanded and now holds yearly conventions in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
This year’s C3AFA Tokyo was held in the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 1 – 3. Although not as big as comicon and at AFA mostly exhibits of toys dominated the scene at the event, there were still some cosplayers promoting shops and some were walking around and taking advantage of the creative backdrops the event has provided for photo ops.
