When I looked at this cosplay, the first thing my mind thought of was another one of those comedy-drama idol animes with strong friendship themes and talks of hope, inspiring people to do their best, and not giving up on their future. That was what I saw in this popstar-like cosplay. But when I searched up the title of where this cosplay is from, I was quite surprised. It was from an anime I had already dismissed and decided not to watch. It’s White Album.
According to websites and blog posts, White Album is an underrated anime set in 1986 and seems to have a bit of a deep and serious theme. That, and it’s a harem. To be honest, I never bothered to take a look at White Album before and dismissed it as just another boring harem show. But there are times that a cosplay can turn things around and get me interested in an anime. Because for one thing, if someone had the interest to cosplay it then there is a chance that this might actually be good and worth looking into. This is one of those occasions. Thanks to this cosplay, I think I’ll give it a chance and who knows I might stay for the story.
