Spooky Thumb a.k.a. Tesla a.k.a. (tonight) Claire is doing a really fun burlesque dance. Spooky Thumb is wearing a flapper costume tonight, so the dance is very thematically appropriate, but she is actually really good, so I think she might have some real experience with traditional burlesque. Spooky Thumb has the white dress, dripping with fringe, and it ripples when she moves. She has a huge red feather fan for fan dances, but the matching red boa leaks red dye onto everything, so the boa doesn’t get as much use as the fan. Plus she has a cute hat. In the 1920’s, the style of hat she has on was worn by flappers as part of a rebellious feminist gender-bending challenge to mainstream fashion and the patriarchy.
