Amber Punch

Suck it for Amber I’m sure everybody or atleast most of your have watch or know the movie Sucker Puch. It’s obviously one of the first movie which is solely based on cosplaying and their imaginations. Well that’s what cosplay is all about right? wearing it and imagining events and actions by doing it. One of the Sucker Punch team is Amber who will be the hot topic for this article.

amber-glass3_600_886_sAmber is the pilot of the group in the fantasy realm. In the brothel world, she is a dancer who does not possess a whole lot of confidence, but she is much more empathetic than the other girls. She is a capable fighter and has rescued the girls more than once. Unfortunately, Amber is shot and killed by Blue during his rant on the bond that he and the girls of the brothel share.

Our cosplayer for today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.

For the Original outfit, Amber’s costume fits into the World War I-era and features an army green jacket with matching chaps, cutouts, and zipper details, along with her ever present lollipop. Amber is able to use high-tech weapons and is usually air-born, and has most likely never used hand-to-hand combat which means the cosplay will revolve around planes and it’s weaponry. Yaya Han used a flight suit for this cosplay and ripped the inside of the air bags. Yaya Han cut it in half to be able to put the zipper on it. The gun/magazine holster and belt were supplies by Cathy of God Save The Queen Fashions, specifically for the leathers and tools that were shown on the cosplay. I think the cosplay suits Yaya Han well since if compared to the original Movie Amber, their facial feature really matches alike.

Yaya Han is an exceptional cosplayer with a great talent for both modelling and tailoring her costumes let’s at least support her by following her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube Channel and DeviantArt. Let’s also support her photographer Brian Boling Photography
