More more more magic Zatanna! What I love about the DC series is that side kicks and offspring of superheroes becoming heroes also themselves is very common in the DC universe. For example Superman has Superboy, Martian Manhunter has Miss Martian, The Flash has Kid Flash, Aquaman has Aqualad (which is funny because in the Young Justice series, he’s the wisest and famous character of the team), Green Arrow has Artemis (who is also the daughter of Sportsmaster) and Speedy, and specially our character of topic for today, Zatanna who is the daughter of the powerful magician Zatara.
Zatanna is a superhero and one of the greatest magic-users in the DC Universe. Her father is the legendary magician Zatara and she works hard to live up to his legacy. The traditional method of spell-casting she uses involves speaking words and sentences backwards. In addition to her career as a hero, she is also a very notable stage performer. She has been a member of the Justice League of America, the Sentinels of Magic, and the Seven Soldiers
Our cosplayer for today is Yaya Han. She is a costume designer, model and cosplay entertainer with over a decade of experience. After discovering cosplay at Anime Expo in 1999, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made close to 300 costumes in the genres of anime/manga, comic books, video games, sci-fi and her own original designs.
Yaya Han seemed to changed the color scheme of the outfit to black and silver instead of white. One of the most important part of the Zatanna cosplay is the corset. According to Yaya Han, it took her 20 hours making it. It is steel boned, lined in coutil and used black velvet to make the trim. The pattern for the mini top hat was custom made. It was made out of 3mm craft foam covered in the matching velvet. I like this Zatanna Cosplay because of not being so much “Zatanna” like it has the Mounlin Rouge feeling. Another things is Yaya Han body is just so sexy and with the giant breast she are emphasized more with the Zatanna Outfit.
