Miyuyoshikawa is Rei Ayanami with just enough attitude to make the entire room feel like it’s being quietly evaluated by NERV.
The bodysuit does all the heavy lifting right away, so there is no mystery about the assignment here. It’s full plug-suit energy, clean white sci-fi look and that calm, slightly distant expression that says she has either seen the horrors of existence or is simply unimpressed by whatever nonsense is happening off camera.
On one hand, it’s one of the most iconic anime looks ever. On the other, the character herself is so emotionally restrained that every pose feels like it’s happening under strict supervision. Yes, everybody should probably stop talking before Miyuyoshikawa decides humanity was a failed experiment.
