LotR, The Hobbit (But Animated) And FayeWilde

This is such a specific flavor of chaos because those Rankin/Bass era Middle-earth films are like someone put Tolkien through a dream filter at 3AM and hit export. The animation has that slightly wobbly, almost storybook-on-espresso energy where every character looks like they either know a secret or just remembered they left the stove on in the Shire. And FayeWilde is sitting there calmly taking it in as she should.

Also mind you, she is looking like the fairiest of all fairies and she looks quite whimiscal throughout it all. The Bilbo on screen looks like he’s about to either go on an adventure or ask for directions back to the nearest bakery, and honestly both feel equally likely in those versions.

Not just dipping into one, but going Hobbit 77, Lord of the Rings 78, and Return of the King 80 like it’s a cinematic pilgrimage. Somewhere Gandalf is probably narrating the experience, Frodo is already exhausted halfway through, and FayeWilde is just there like a lore-accurate elf, unbothered, absorbing it all.
