This is a very community-oriented and punny furry convention with slogan, “Viva Paw Vegas!” The event grew out of a student club at the University of Las Vegas called Rebel Anthropomorphic Works & Recreation club. Their acronym is RAWR, and the con is run by offshoot SNAE (Southern Nevada Anthropomorphic Events.)

This long-running con has a literary focus, but allows for lots of costuming and gaming and other aspects to be enjoyed as well. Guests of Honor include writer Jim Butcher and artist Charles Vess, with a special spotlight on Clarkesworld Magazine. The Philip K. Dick Award will be awarded the second day of this extended holiday weekend con.

This is a massive consumer show for fans of adult stars, content creators, and cam models. They have numerous companies, both large and indie and even just independent talent, exhibiting in their expo hall. There are also sexy performances on the stage in the expo hall. The Chicago iteration is now Exxxotica’s largest show.

One of the largest and most highly respected furry cons in the world. Nearly ten thousand attendees, dozens of exhibiting artists, art show awards, and over a hundred square feet of vendor space with unique and unusual items. There are panels and stage shows and a furry riverboat cruise and Last-Fur-One Dance Crew’s fursuit dance off.

This is a convention which, like the title says, is focused on readers. The event has always somewhat discouraged costumes and television fandoms, in favor of promoting the written word. I’m intrigued to see that science fiction erotica author M. Christian is doing a panel called The Future of Sex addressing how to incorporate sex tech in genre work.

This is a huge convention, with a focus on autographs, but also separate programming tracks for anime, comics, gaming, SF&F, horror, etc. Their dealers room is huge. A very nice feature this event offers is their Cosplay Red Carpet. It is not particularly a red carpet to anything, just a fun opportunity for cosplayers to strut their stuff and get photographed.

Atlanta, Georgia?
From Jonathan Maberry to Patricia L. Briggs to Steve Jackson, DragonCon always has a huge and diverse list of interesting guests, as well as bands and costumes galore. In 2019, the event attracted eighty-five thousand attendees. It seems like it might be on track to happen in person, as they are selling tickets, but they are not accepting new exhibitors, so who knows?

PAX Aus is a celebration of gaming and gaming culture featuring panels, both large and indie studio exhibitors, game demos, musical performances, and tournaments. Guests announced so far include a range from Final Fantasy game designers to cosplayers and Twitch streamers.

This adult-friendly furry convention features an art gallery, dance battle, and tabletop gaming. These are all excellent mainstays for a good con for our furry friends. This con also includes escape rooms, Furry Logic and Twisted Tails. If you have ever thought you’d be great at solving puzzle while wearing your fursuit, BGLC has you covered.

They do this con twice a year, one big show in the summer and then an even bigger show closer to Halloween. Celebrating all things horror and related, the event will have guests like Clive Barker and four of the actors who played Cenobites, a zombie walk, costume contest, and more than fifty tattoo artists.
