Monarch harbors bitterness stemming from being abandoned in favor of the 14-inch design, which ultimately served the Royal Navy due to practical reasons (the Admiralty deemed that changing gun calibers would delay completion until at least 1942). Nevertheless, she takes immense pride in her own capabilities and views herself as “The Greatest.” Monarch holds a grudge against her King George V-class half-sisters, believing them to be inferior, particularly singling out Prince of Wales due to being the only one of the class sunk.
