BlueBlood.net just posted a free gallery of vampire portraits shot by Forrest Black and Amelia G at the recent Vampire-Con in Hollywood.

Images range from hilariously playful and silly to downright sexy and hot. Extra kudos for the GQ crazy pose vamp guy, the Los Angeles girl who acted like a hooker on Deadwood and the Transylvania girl who actually is a hooker.

I actually saw some of this shoot in one of the recent issues of Marquis magazine in the Big in America section Blue Blood’s Amelia G and Forrest Black put together. I hadn’t realized the whole sets of Vampirabat are now posted in the Blue Blood VIP members area. Vampirabat is a really classic gothic vampire beauty. Worth viewing every shot of her.

They shot her in gleaming black rubber with a statue of the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Aiden Starr and the Creature from the Black Lagoon were reportedly photographed at famous horror author David J. Schow’s Hollywood Hills home. You had me at Black Lagoon.

Goodness, the Blue Blood VIP members area passed 100,000 images while Sexy Fandom was sort of on hiatus. It seems like only yesterday when I was buying my first copy of Blue Blood magazine at a science fiction convention vendor booth. I guess it was actually sixteen years ago. Where does the time go? 100k is a really impressive number of genuine, artistic, erotic, on-topic, cool photographs of interesting-looking people. I think it is a nice touch that Blue Blood chose to pass the 100k mark with a photo set featuring Blue Blood magazine covergirl Cherry. It is impressive to be able to collaborate with some of the same people for so many years and have those people still be so very hot. Cherry is such a beautiful girl.

SexyFandom readers will probably be familiar with BlueBlood.net, the non-adult (but still sexy in the sense of being attractive) side of the Blue Blood empire. BlueBlood.net features cool fashion galleries, stills from interesting TV shows and movies, interviews with offbeat individuals, community forums, and pop culture opinion pieces. Looks like Blue Blood ran a very sexy gallery from the Torchwood: Children of Earth mini-series, along with a deconstruction of whether the show’s creator has recently gone through a bad break-up and whether it is ever a good idea to give in to demands from an alien junkie. The article also asks the question of whether the nude bits are censored in the DVD version the same as they were on BBC America. I can’t stress enough what a ginormous television I have. I justify it as a business expense, but I just really like high definition television. The answer to the question is that, yes, the viewer can view John Barrowman’s Captain Jack Harkness ass and there is sort of a frontal scene, also un-censored, when Jack is being buried in concrete. Even on my huge TV screen, you really can’t make out much when he is at the bottom of a cell being filled with cement. I am sorry to have to report this, but it is true.

I was going to get back to blogging about sexy fandom topics back in March when Amelia G over at BlueBlood.net posted her Talking Dirty as SXSW article. She talked about a conversation she and qDot from SlashDong had and hinted that they both thought I should get back to it. I thought to myself that it was very motivational to have two of my favorite internet writers pushing for me to do this site. As they say in Hollywood, it is all about process. And motivation is a process. And process takes time.
