She is a tattooed redhead gamer chick and she appears to have a good head on her shoulders. I just came across her for the first time in the Blue Blood VIP in one of the signature couples layouts shot by Amelia G and Forrest Black. I’ve been enjoying the uptick in urban fantasy and paranormal romance the past few years. While text representations of sexy fae folk have been impressive lately, visual representations still lag behind. I’m really impressed by this most recent Blue Blood update where famous gothic chanteuse Evelyne Bennu is made up like one of Brian and Wendy Froud’s fairies. The Blue Blood blog has a beautiful sample image from the series, but the whole set on Erotic Fandom has 30 or 40 images. Usually, when artists bother to do more elaborate costuming like this, they make one or two images, so it is all the more special that Blue Blood’s Amelia G and Forrest Black shot a whole series.

It is no secret that I have a huge-errific Darth Vader fetish. I’m not promising to start blogging again regularly, but I just had to mention this Darth Vader Sith Lord bank robber tidbit Amelia G from Blue Blood brought to my attention. A man robbed a Long Island branch of Chase wearing a Darth Vader costume. One customer, thinking it was a joke, tried to hug him. Had I been present, I would have been that customer.

According to Amelia G’s article at Blue Blood Blasphemy Day is today and “is a new internet-spawned holiday like Talk Like a Pirate Day or CAPS LOCK DAY. I’m not surprised that more people added typing like a pirate to their holiday calendars than typing in all capital letters, but I would have thought more people would have gotten into Blasphemy Day.” The salient point is that Blue Blood’s Amelia G and Forrest Black have shot a lot of devil girl photos over the years and they just posted two new sets of them in the Blue Blood VIP in celebration of Blasphemy Day. Images range from hilariously playful and silly to downright sexy and hot. Extra kudos for the GQ crazy pose vamp guy, the Los Angeles girl who acted like a hooker on Deadwood and the Transylvania girl who actually is a hooker.

I actually saw some of this shoot in one of the recent issues of Marquis magazine in the Big in America section Blue Blood’s Amelia G and Forrest Black put together. I hadn’t realized the whole sets of Vampirabat are now posted in the Blue Blood VIP members area. Vampirabat is a really classic gothic vampire beauty. Worth viewing every shot of her.
Forrest Black and Amelia G photographed beautiful Aiden Starr in their artistic style for the Blue Blood VIP members area. They shot her in gleaming black rubber with a statue of the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Aiden Starr and the Creature from the Black Lagoon were reportedly photographed at famous horror author David J. Schow’s Hollywood Hills home. You had me at Black Lagoon.

AltPorn.net has a bunch of new writers since last I kept up. One is Beda Hoydenish who just did an interview with the inspirational Amelia G about her new AmeliaG.com site and the state of altporn.
My favorite part of the interview is where Beda Hoydenish’s question about the origins of the Blue Blood moniker lead to Amelia G explaining some of her manifesto and you have to admire someone who still finds important things to say with breasts in her face: “The name Blue Blood is sort of a play on words with the blood for vampires and gothic spookyness and the blue meaning erotic as in blue movies, but the blue blood phrase overall connoting a certain tastefulness and strength. Especially in 1992, when I founded Blue Blood, it was very common for alt-identified people to feel like they had to accept second class citizen status. So the strength aspect is really important to the core manifesto for me. The most important message I would like readers or members to get from Blue Blood is that purple hair or tattoos or having kinky sex or otherwise living flamboyantly does not mean you are not entitled to the rewards of the larger society.”

Speaking of Amelia G and Blue Blood, this week Amelia G launched a personal site at AmeliaG.com as a sort of central space for her varied works. I like that she collected up her blog entries from different sites and combined all of them from the last four years on AmeliaG.com. My favorite part of the site is her photography portfolio which features many of the bands who do the science fiction and comic book convention circuit, including The Misfits, gODHEAD, and Combichrist. The personal pics section is also really fun. The professional photos are captioned, but the snapshots are not. Some people of fandom note I am able to pick out from the casual party pictures are Sean Abley from Socket and Gay of the Dead, Chris Wylde from Film Fakers, Clint Catalyst from America’s Next Top Model, one of my very favorite authors Thomas S. Roche, and Chewbacca.

I was going to get back to blogging about sexy fandom topics back in March when Amelia G over at BlueBlood.net posted her Talking Dirty as SXSW article. She talked about a conversation she and qDot from SlashDong had and hinted that they both thought I should get back to it. I thought to myself that it was very motivational to have two of my favorite internet writers pushing for me to do this site. As they say in Hollywood, it is all about process. And motivation is a process. And process takes time.

I didn’t even know I wanted this for the holidays and this is the best gift I could possibly have dreamed of. Blue Blood has come to the web in full force. Everything I love about a number of the Blue Blood sites has been packed into one gorgeous package at BlueBlood.com and you will just have to see for yourself. I’m sure I will have even more to say about Blue Blood and the brilliant and inspiring Amelia G and Forrest Black next month, than I have had to say about Daleks and other machine lovers this month. The Blue Blood relaunch is such big news I had to mention it right away. If you are true blue old school and loved Blue Blood magazine as much as I did, you will know what I mean. This is the real deal.
